Mel & Ola
"Diamonds aren’t everything." Her black diamond ring needed to be resized. Mel and Ola decided to drop by
Hofmeister’s to see if they could do the work. Chuck got to work right away but ran into a snag. Due to original
construction, resizing the ring could cause damage, or worse, ruin the ring. Rather than attempting to explain the
situation over the phone, Chuck brought Mel and Ola into the Hofmeister workroom and let them see exactly what he
was seeing. Though he was using the latest technology and a cautious touch, he just couldn’t be certain that the
ring would escape unscathed. They appreciated his honesty and being given the chance to go "behind the scenes" to
see exactly what the issue was. That sort of service pays off—they haven’t been to another jeweler since. "I believe
in treating people the way they should be treated," says Mel. And that’s what the staff at Hofmeister does. They
treat people right. Ola adds, "They’ve been good to us all around." Mel and Ola are now customers for life and have
bought many more pieces since that first encounter, but that isn’t the most important thing to Mel. "Diamonds and
